With the rising influence of the street style, the attendees often attract more attention that the shows themselves. Fashion month aka. the collection of Haute Couture, Men’s Fashion and Women’s Fashion RTW shows across the globe brings together a plethora of the industry’s finest artisans adorned in their idiosyncratic wear as they take the street. Starting with Paris’ Haute Couture shows, the breathtaking couturiers welcome street style mavens to take the front row in their ensembles. Not only do they set the tone for the streets of NYC, London, Paris and Milan for RTW weeks but they also inspire us for the next few seasons to come. Feast our eyes upon the most drool-worthy ensembles and some evident trends that are going to conquer the upcoming forecasts.
Signature Sleeves
Bid farewell to skin tight sleeves (and comfortable eating) and welcome statement cuts. Paris’ Haute Couture patrons gave photographers an eye full with their extra long flares on their arm paired with slinkier bottoms. The a-line cut adds a unique visual intrigue to the attire and whilst perhaps not the best ensemble to don whilst eating, a snazzy and refreshing change to the slim sleeves that have been dominating the trend boards.

Fringe Benefits
A popular 60’s staple, fringe made its come back last season and not surprisingly hit the ZARA’s and ASOS’s of the world soon after. Assumed to be trademarked to Coachella attire, these street style stars prove that the seasonal favourites can be transient and the tassel trend is here to stay despite the icy season. An excellent item to debut in front of a camera (hello cute GIFS!), these ladies play up their 60’s inspired pieces and contrast them with their sleekest attire to create a distinctive look.
An Ode to Coco
Largerfeld’s revamp of the Chanel slingback is bringing a classic Coco Chanel piece back into the modern day fold. Calling it the ‘princess shoe’, the vintage redesign is a must have for the fashion folk with its clean aesthetic and a timeless elegance that separates it from many of the current footwear trends. The two-toned style was picked up right off the runway to walk the streets to compliment a plethora of print or add a statement to a casual ensemble.
