Get outside and shop the block this holiday season.

Forget the mall, forget fast fashion, and forget unsustainable sartorial practices. StyleCircle is here with three great brick n’ mortars to visit for fine, Canadian clothes.

Located in the Queen West neighborhood, here are three of our favourite Toronto boutiques that sell Canadian-made clothing and accessories.

SMOKE + ASH

First on the map is Smoke + Ash. Located along the Queen West strip, Smoke + Ash caters to consumers who appreciate contemporary, unique and trendy styles. From skincare to shoes, their selection incorporates both Canadian and international designers.

TIP: Check out the eponymous lingerie label by Mary Young, a Ryerson Fashion Design graduate, whose comfortable-chic designs are made to support the natural shape of every woman’s body.

Hayley Elsaesser 695 Queen St W

Toronto-based designer Hayley Elsaesser has her flagship store on Queen West, bringing bold, colourful, busy prints to the city streets. Hayley Elsaesser’s clothes embody beauty and fun in a dream world of candy colours, glittery accents, and kitsch motifs.

Untitled&Co 438 Queen St W

Untitled&Co, another spot on Queen West, unites streetwear with fair-trade, sustainable, local production. All of their ready-to-wear garments are produced in their downtown Toronto studio. The lifestyle that Untitled&Co promotes is one of simplicity, realness and fun.

TIP: Their store has a swing for customers to take photos on (makes a great snapshot for Instagram).
