Whoever said leggings as pants was a fashion faux was sadly mistaken. Ever since iconic muses such as Edie Sedgwick and Twiggy dazzled and pranced into the spotlight, tights have become an integral fashion statement with its ability to convey risqué and comfort in a delicate fabric. MONDOR F/W 2016 is back for Toronto Fashion Week with a collection of nylon stockings that remind us why re-stocking on stockings is a must must must this upcoming season.

With a video introduction to hype the audience, the first few models dominated the runway with show-stopping outfits and killer sleek hair slicked back into a low ponytail. The models demanded fixation from head-to-toe. On top, they sported powerful vixen black blazers and blouses buttoned loosely to reveal corsets and bustiers underneath. For bottoms, they wore itty bitt hot shorts over patterned pantyhose in varying opacity. Breath-taking stilettos and platforms completed the look by elongating the legs. Short girls everywhere wished they could magically add (several) inches to their own height as MONDOR revealed that business, indeed, is always mixed with pleasure.

Progressing into the show, the collection moved towards the leisure and athletic wear in MONDOR’s latest collection. Strutting in heels and sneakers now, models displayed intricately cut leggings that made us want to dash over and pick up a pair a.s.a.p because it looked that good. MONDOR has created the perfect little collection that screams, “It might be my day off but I’m talking business!”
