WMCFW: Narces S/S 2016

Nothing says spring or summer quite like this Narces S/S16 Collection. Femininity was exquisitely showcased, with beautiful detailing weaved into every dress. Fun and flirty tunes such as Felix Jaehn featuring Jasmine Thompson’s “Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better)” and Blondie’s “Heart of Glass” set the tone as the models graced the runway. The show started off with cocktail dresses, with pops of pastel among the favourable whites and off-whites in the collection. As the show progressed, the dresses became significantly more bridal-central and even more enchanting. The beginning of the collection was a wonderful lead up to the showstopping sheer dress ornamented with white patterned flowers. The model wore a traditional long draped veil and walked alongside the designer, Nikki Wirthensohn, at her appearance.

The look of the models shifted from a simple softly-waved hairstyle at the beginning of the show, to pops of flower jewelry tucked behind each model’s left ear towards the end of the show. Plunging necklines that highlighted the breast bone and form fitting gowns that gently hugged the feminine physique were a reoccurring theme in the collection. The blossoming of our love for Narces is definitely in the air!
