It’s a holiday season like no other, but between the (socially distant) festivities and family dinners, there’s still room for presents! For some last-minute gift-giving inspiration, we asked the StyleCircle team to put together a wish list featuring all their favourites.

This season, my mind is set on building healthy everyday routines and laying the groundwork for the upcoming semester– like we’ve seen this past year, that means being ready for anything! In between working, interning, and learning there’s hardly ever time for playing catch up; unsurprisingly, the spirit of laying the groundwork has leaked into my holiday wishlist. I’ve had my eye on a set from Girlfriend Collective for some time now; I love their approach to inclusivity and sustainable design. Activewear made from recycled plastic water bottles? Yes, please! I’ve been wanting to hop on the one-shoulder trend for some time now, and love this bodysuit designed by Ryerson graduate, Mary Young. To close it off, I will be taking several days for relaxation over the break, hopefully with a side of this Golde clean greens face mask.

I really tried to avoid putting any clothing items on my wish list this year because without a doubt my closet is already packed full with clothing! As we all have been getting used to Zoom school, I have wanted to make my at-home learning experience as best as it can be, hence why I have a bluetooth keyboard on my wishlist. I recently got a laptop stand so now my laptop is at eye level, but it is hard to use the keyboard when lifted like that. I put Mejuri’s hoops on my wishlist because they’re 14K gold and I am tired of buying cheap earrings that tarnish 3 months after I buy them! The final item on my wishlist is Aille Design’s new face masks; not only are they super stylish, comfy and protective they help share the message that fashion is for everyone with the added Braille beading. The masks are a collaboration with another local Toronto company, iLoveYourMask.

I have watched a lot of great film/television productions this past year to make COVID isolation time pass by. However, for this upcoming Christmas break season, I want to fall back in love with reading. So my holiday wish list includes Goodreads #1 Fiction winner, The Midnight Library, which is a story about the main character opening different books to see different paths their life could’ve taken. To go along with my book I also would like reading socks, and another Tigger mug for my collection.

This is definitely a holiday season unlike any other, and like so many people, I cannot believe that it’s actually here already. I want to use the time I have over the holidays to get outside and to make a point of reaching out to the people I love. It’s been a weird year, but I’m so grateful for the people around me and the personal growth that’s come from it, and I really just want to take the time to recognize and appreciate that this season. This shirt is made with organic cotton, dyed with jackfruit, and screen printed with water based ink! I love these medicine florals, but they sell out quick! I love how versatile these TOMBOGO pants are, it’s like getting three pants in one!

With the year we’ve been through, I am taking this holiday season as a period to prioritize self-growth and uplift those around me. My list focuses on wellbeing and includes items that will help me stay productive moving into the new year. In light of the current shutdown, it’s important to invest in small businesses and services that uplift people and prioritize self-growth over excess! Shop the Super Multi-Mushroom Synergy droppers, Hooded Bathrobe and Slow Burn candle.
