With the official first day of summer already behind us (June 21st how did you come and go so fast?!), we imagine you’re probably smack in the middle of shifting your winter beauty routine over to a lighter, summer-friendly arsenal. As you transition your heavy duty products to the back of your beauty cabinet we thought we would provide some recommendations on what products could take their place. In keeping with the idea that summer inspires us all (or most of us) to go au naturale, what better products to consider than the cleanest and greenest ones? In addition to putting less on our face and body, we also vote for putting better things on our face and body. For us that means as few yucky chemicals as possible, as little waste associated with the product as possible (i.e. package waste as well as waste from the production process #climatechangeisreal), and why not reduce the distance associated with buying from big brands and support a local Canadian business?

Given the hot and sticky months that lie ahead of us, and the very real ramifications of human activity that are manifesting in our ecosystems, consider these 100% green, 100% Canadian brands the next time you swap out or refill a favourite beauty item. I know I will…
